He had to be a man of very brave and trusting God, since it is not rejected when Mary was pregnant and took upon himself the task of being the earthly father of Jesus.
I'm thinking that this taciturn, residually relied on the Gospel, Joseph is indeed a model for modern men. Not only took care of his woman, but also as a good and righteous man was certainly the model for growing up in his house, the Messiah. His life was full of trials - but persevered to the end.
